iv just been lookin online and i carnt realy fined the answer so i thought id ask if you do a 1.2 16v or a 1.4 16v conversion to a sie wot type of 0 to 60 would u exspect

jw coz i like my cars fast lol just got rid of a 240bhp tdo4 starlet gt n want summet eles that wipes the smile of pplz face when you leave them at the lights

240bhp from a 1.3 turbo starlet  most i got from one was 189bhp, i take it she was forged?
and 0-60 depends on a load of thing how good a condition the engine is in, gearbox used, wheels used , induction kit used, exhaust system , remap etc etc etc so its hard to say

Yeh mate it was forged. Wi a tdo4 turbo. Blitz bov. Intercooler n ecu n a supra injectors n some ova stuff was propa fast bt was too thursty lol

To be fair, unless your going to be putting some mad engine in one of these, they will never be as fast as a standard/mildly tuned starlet.

As for the 0-60 times, nobody on here has ever properly recordede one. We have only really started seeing more conversion popping up out of the woodwork.

If you were asking on a polski cento forum however, they would be able to tell you everything :D.

Thanks

X

In these cars 0-60 time is pointless as there will always be something that has taken half the effort that will beat it

30-70 is what you want to be interested in, all about the torque, not pub talk 0-60 times

Yeh a can imagen they strugle for grip been quite light .will like a 1275 be faster than a vtr or summet like that wi power to weight.
sorry jist tryin to get an idea. I do like little cars that r nippy i have had a smart car turbo wi a rem map n a bov that made ppl look. N socked boy races frum the lights lol

No it wont be quicker than a VTR mainly because there are very few stock VTR's around now - just like many small hatchbacks of that era

They're either in a hedge, scrapped or modified, very few standard cars about and dwindling

However if you come across one by chance a standard one maybe, but just a maybe

Most people on here arent really interested in racing between the lights to be honest so its really hard to say

I could count on one hand the number of people on here who have enquired bout getting a hot cento for the purpose you require it for

Well you wont get much better than that

The tuning just isnt really there, not compared to the japanese cars anyway

Id say the turbotubbies car was a step forward.

As has been said, the performance you seem to want is not available out of the box and you will have to work for it.

To answer your original question the 1.4 16v engine will give a 0-60 in mid 7 secs with basic mods, but how often will you ever use that in reality. The weight of the cento's is your advantage here.

May i also say what everybody else is thinking and kindly ask you to write out the full words rather than text talk. :)

Mine was 6.8s on a gtech...but it wasn't running or mapped well......i'd imagine once this is on the road, it'll be about 6.5s ... went out in Lewis Uno with a 180bhp 1368cc turbo and that was very quick indeed. So i'd imagine a tub 1368cc sei or cinq would be even more rapid, 5s or thereabouts if you can get it down. Craig's would be similar i'd imagine :D

Dippends on wether conditions in wet even with low boost on. Was hard to put down. In dry conditions it put down well in low boost in high boost in dry it want too bad just used to spin alittle wen turbo kicked in and if you mean by pub talk as in u think im liein i dohave some pictures of it

I don't think he suspects you're lying, I think the point he was trying to get at is that comparing 0-60, bhp or torque figures is pointless and the sort of thing that people discuss in the pub when they feel they have to get one up on their mates.

And following on from what Dan said earlier - put a little more effort into trying to spell properly, this is an international forum and not everyone has English as their first language. Google translate only works when words are spelled correctly.

i find it very hard to believe that your 240 bhp starlet only spun a little bit in the wet i had 189 and it was almost undrivable on any sort of bends even in the dry, and iv driven my mates opc (vxr) astra which have an awful reputation for torque steer and the starlet was 10 times worse, i had trouble getting away from a pikie in a transit van on a back road in another gt starlet due to its light weight and awful torque steer, i would much rather something with less mower and more driveble

sorry i only had 168 at 0.95 bar of boost! ....but still was stupid quick and basically undrivable on any sort of bend road heres a dyno sheet
