Hello,

I'm pretty new here. I found couple of your posts about manuals and technical docs. I've already checked http://www.brickfieldspark.org/temp/fiatmanuals/temprainfo.htm
Maybe some of you have some more of this kind of manuals? I'm mostly interested in clima system.
I'm getting error E3 on clima display, and no response from control - but as long as i know this is because of sensor communication problem, and I can't find it.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I've added the circuit for the Automatic Air conditioner to the bottom of the page at http://www.brickfieldspark.org/temp/fiatmanuals/temprainfo.htm, there were no other pages in the manual covering the air con.

Thanks for your reply. It will surelly help me. If You or someone else find some info about location of clima system sensors (interior/exterior temp, etc.) I will have everything.

Thanks again.

Exterior temperature sensor is hidden in left door mirror - just look at the bottom of it ;) Interior temperature sensor should be somewhere inside the car, but I don't know yet where exactly... I'll try to find some info in ePER...

You know as much as me, but thanks for sharing info :)
I think (and I'm not sure) that this mirror sensors is only in Tepra's with travel computer. But I might be wrong.
I'm looking forward for any messages from you.

Ps. what is ePER? Part catalogue?

Yeah, you're wrong ;) ;) ;)

Mirror sensor is fitted to every Tempra with automatic climate system or automatic heating system. There is a special button on the steering panel of clima/heating system to check actual value of exterior temperature... Trip computer unit in cars with trip computer (it's very rare device in Tempra's) uses the same mirror sensor as climate/heating system :)

I haven't found any information about interior temperature sensor yet, but I think it could be somewhere near automatic climate/heating panel. I'll try to find it for ya...

ePER is an official part catalogue for Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo cars. It's absolutely must have for every owner of Tempra :) I know, it's large (aprox. 1,2 GB), but it's worth its place on your hard disks. You can find it e.g. by eMule - just write "ePER" in search panel... Good Luck!

Yes you are right about that temp. sensor inside mirror. One of "internal" sensors is located near front passenger legs (hidden under fan). It is getting temperature of incoming flow from heater. There is also at least two other ones inside car (one probably near driver legs). I know because I've spent 3 hour yesterday inside my car :) If I found something new I will write about it.
But if someone of You find something what can be helpful, please share that info.

I've got a circuit diagram of automatic heating system. There are 3 temperature sensors labeled with numbers 236, 237 and 238.

Sensor 236 (sensor of air temperature in passangers cab with electrofan) is hidden on the right side of the steering wheel, behind little bars. It's really easy to find :)

Sensors 237 and 238 are hidden inside ventilation system, first one in right central diffuser, second - deeper then previous one. You have to unmount central console to get there and You'll easily find it.

See attached ;)

Thanks for that schema (I had it already). I've already checked 236, and 239 (hidden near ventilation motor above passenger legs) before weekend - it was good, now it is time for rest, when I will have some free time.

Ps. Czyżby kolega z Polski?

What does it mean? Is this question about something Polish? (I think my circuit diagram might be from Polish or Czech repair guide - I've got it from the Internet, I don't remember exactly  )

Yes this is in polish. I was wondering if you are from Poland, because you have scan of diagram from polish version of repair guide. It means exactly "Does colleague come from Poland?".

:)

My Tempra Tds has the sensor fitted to the drivers mirror but does not have the auto climate system or the trip computer - confused.

Google for ePER, there seem to be a number of sites with it working online althoug some of them will only work with Internet Explorer not Firefox. http://213.137.33.57:7080/navi?KEY=STARTUP this one appears to be in Russian. On the opening page click the middle link in the dark blue header (begins KOH and has a 'star' ? symbol to the left) in the 3 drop down selections take 'english' - 'english' - 'great britain' click 'ok' and you should get it all in English. Other countries should be able to select appropriately for their own language.

I have checked almost everything inside instalation of clima system. Does anybody have description of error codes from air con system?

I still have E3 code, but I can change it to E1 (I know what to unplug). However this doesn't solve my problem, and all controls still behave like disabled. Self-actived air flow is enabled, but I need to drive ~80-110 to defrost my windows.

Any ideas?
