Hi there.
I have the original Fiat Examiner unit...the small PC with the monochrome touchscreen. It's an antique, I think probably 1992/3 vintage, but I'd like to get it working with my 3 pin diagnostic connection.
The Examiner I have only came with the OBD cable and doesn't have the 3 pin diagnostic connection.
Does anyone know if this old system had a 3pin cable connected to the PC or if it was a 3pin to OBD adapter that connected to the OBD cable that I have?

Hope someone can help.

Hi.
Yes, I suppose it is unusual to post so long after joining! I have a Strada 130TC and 16v integrale.
There seem to be 4 key diagnostic systems, with some overlap of models covered on each system.
PR.01 is earliest (sort of multimeter/pulse generator for some Fiat and Lancia) - not intuitive, useless without manuals/test cards).
FLT (Fiat, lancia, alfa some Ferrari - user friendly handheld device that takes catridges).
Fiat Examiner (a few different versions;pc with mono touchscreen and a couple of handheld versions).
And a newer system for more recent cars inc Chrysler!

Hopefully someone will know the answer to my question regarding the 3 pin connection, but the first version of the Examiner is pretty old now.
