Hello guys,

Got a question for you... I am considering buying a Fiat on the ground that I already own one (original 500) and that, well... I am Italian (though as of now I am living and working in the UK).

What is holding me back from my purchase is the mpg figure for the 1.2 69 hp engine fiat offers as entry level spec. which offers a combined figure of 53 mpg (if memory serves me well). Now I have seen that a Kia claims for its 1.0 68 hp engine 67.3 mpg... These figures left me a little speachless. Is there something that I am missing?

I genuinly thought that 'cheap to run' engines were Fiat's bread and butter... so I am wondering whether I am missing something.

Can anyone confirm the figures in this post, or otherwise explain this simpleton what he is missing?

Thank you, :worship:
Marco.

Personally, I wouldn't mind betting that the Fiat claimed mpg figure is far more accurate than the kias. These days, a lot, if not most manufacturers are claiming mpg figures that just aren't achieved in the real world.
