Hi all, am posting for my friend,

he has a fiat bravo on a 2008, 1400 active i think, the climate control wont blow out any heat, the locale mechanic has told him that the climate control module is in with the ecu and can cost £1000 to buy new,

As its winter and the cars very cold i was thinking of maybe finding the heating actuator and giving it a feed to wined in so they have constant heat and they can just set the fan speed, IS THIS POSSIBLE and were is the acuautor located and dose it operate on a 12v open close signal??

Please help as his wife use the car every day to do the school run and her commute to work.

Whoa hang on there soldier!

Does the Fan blow... can you hear it?
Does air come out of the footwell and the dash vents?

Or doesnt the fan run?

Does the engine get to proper operating temperature?

Or what?

You need to be very clear and specific about symptoms and tests done before you can hoipe for technical help like you asked for.

Depends if the stepper motors default to closed (or open) position in which case you would need to do this every time.

What will they do come summer time? Can you obtain one from another car or scrapyard to confirm the fault is the control panel?

Hi all, thank you for all your response, just as a short term fix can some tell me were the stepper motored is located so I can check voltage there to determine the actual fault and maybe wind it in to allow heat, even if I unplug it.
