Always change them as a pair.
And you will need a spring compressor, otherwise it can't be done.
If you haven't change car springs before, go to a dedicated workshop, with the right tools, and have them change the springs for you.

If you don't know how it's done, don't do it. First time I did it, one of the springs ended up in my neighbours back yard! And yes, change them both!
