hi all ive looked at a fiat 500, its a 58 plate and has just over 28000 miles on the clock. when i started the car up i noticed the milage was flashing. why is this? The car hasnt been used for a while and the dealer said that was the reason, but im not to sure. I thought maybe it was because of a service approaching or could it be something more serious. look forward to hearing from you. cheers

Milage flashing is a case of it needs Proxy Alignment

IF you do purchase this - demand its fixed before paying up in full

Might be worthwhile getting milage checked, it can sometimes be a really poor attempt at getting the car clocked

So see if you can see an MOT or what ever it is you need to visit vosa website to confirm milage to whats on the dash and MOT cert

Absolutely agree with last post. Flashing mileage is 99.9999% due to a incorrect or unrecognised CAN Bus based item/equipment on the car.

The car body computer/node will examine all other computers/nodes connected to it and if it is unhappy about the registration results/data then the mileage on the dash will flash.
