my 1.2 punto is giving me really crappy mileage for ten litres, average about 60 miles, i was thinking is it worth using something like redex ?

ive read mixed reviews so i wanted to know from experienced users the advice on using redex?

Used it on several occasions not really had much of a benefit from that stuff. My 1.2 punto has worse MPG, getting 21MPG.

Proper engine flush will help.

Also gear box oil might need changing.

"Gear Box Oil".... is that a seperate oil from the usual Oil change that I regularly do?? Different from the drained oil from the Sump etc?

ive already flushed the engine oil when i got it serviced in nov,

where does the gearbox oil go , ??

na i meant how do you change the oil LOL

Same way you do your engine oil pretty miuch, just from the gearbox instead ... drain the old, fill with the new. If in doubt, RTFM

Thank god for that! I thought i was being a rite n00b! Rite wel... looks like i can look forward to identifying the Gearbox oil drain parts and crack on with changing it... any heads up on what size hex/bolt to use and where abouts its located?
If "RTFM" means "Read The Fiat Manual" then that proves i'm destined to be here

1999 but I can get it up to 25mpg with economical driving. Most of the time I am heavy footed on roads I live by big open roads and very steep hills so over accelerating is a every day bad habit.

Going to get the car serviced during the summer at some point though to see if it is anything that can be corrected.
