Hi there,
I've just bought my Abarth finally. Been a long wait. It hasn't got the xenon headlights tho and i would like to fit them as i had them on my other car. Does anyone know if u can buy them from fiat or if i would be better getting a conversion kit?
Thanks
James

I think they were about a £300 option when I bought my Stilo, they are a pain to fit after you've bought one I am lead to believe! :(

You are right ... its only the lights ... preety hard job ... cause you need anther instalation and lots of stuff for xenons. i doubt that someone will suggest you to install them aftermarket.

Just try the xenon look lamps you can buy for about a tenner, otherwise it would be a major headache, the xenon's are self adjusting I believe, so would need big wiring modifications:(

oh no do not try xenon look lights ... they look preety CHEAP to have on your car ... and lots of people street racer do have them ... personally i think that stilo headlights are preety good with the blue things inside ... and give white xenon like light.

He's correct on this one, the cheap aftermarket bulbs you put in your headlights are a bit 'boy racer' and I agree, the standard Stilo lights are adequate and look the part.

If you're not convinced look at the headlights on a Focus or Astra.

He means Xenon or Non-Xenon from factory I think!

Yeah TC got it right. I bought my car second hand and have never seen Xenon lights.... or at least I dont think so!!!
What do they look like??

Do you have the head light adjustment on the my car panel? next to the dashboard dimmer, if so, your lights are standard, I believe the xenon equiped cars don't have this.

Anyone with xenons able to confirm this?

Xenon cars have to have headlight washers, auto adjusting jobbies, and you'll get flashed at by every other road user for dazzling them! Xenons are fine straight on, but if you meet a Xenon equiped car mid corner you blinded to bugery!

Plus, you get front fog lights on non-Xenon equiped cars. Much more handy i say!

the easiest way is to go out of the car wit hthe lights turned on and see the lights ... belive me you will notice the difference between xenons and non xenons.

I think the easiest way is just to look at the dash, if you've got a front foglight button then you don't have Xenons!

Or drive around with your lights on and see how many folk flash at you, if its none then you don't have xenons, if you get flashed at by every second car then you have got xenons!

Standard Stilo has very reasonable lights, and thats with mince standard bulbs (i've never got round to changing my bulbs).

I don't think they are a fantastic option, sure they look pretty, but have you ever had someone with them sat behind you, boy do they give your eyes a workout, forget flicking the rear view mirror away, you're done for! Ans as Stiloboy says, you'll see them coming the other way too! [xx(]

but its the easiest way to find out which car costs more than 50.000e ... joking ...

they might be too flashy but hand on heart they do look fabulous!

Yeah but its a hell of a lot more money for something that at best is only used 10-20% of the cars life! Maybe if you life in Sweden or Iceland or someplace where its dark for months on end.

it is a real luxury no doubt about that. a whole fortune on a lights .... :)

anyway lets get back on the topic ... james_derby the final recomendation from us is that of your car is not factory supplied with the xenons do not think about installing them aftermakrket ... so its your call

I didn't think they were that expensive, I'm sure when I bought my car, they were £500 but they were offering them as an extra for £300, it's not massively expensive................is it?
