Is there any tool on the market yet for the home user to reset the service light on the stilo? I have googled for such a tool the only one that appears is one for a BMW now within google it says it does Fiat but after emailing draper it doesn't seem to work with the Fiat ECU.

Answers on a post card please! [8D] or you can post any info here [8D]

not sure about this really. However I did notice on E-bay today that there is a service manual CD available for the stilo for just 99p on 'buy it now'(theres lots of them on there). This CD apparently tells you all info you need including a list of Tools required to do certain things. The info your looking for may be in there!!!

I'm not sure there is a special took required. Now I may be completely wrong in the case of Fiat but I know in the case of my other car (Seat) to reset it it's a case of turning the key to lights position, press trip in and hold, still holding turn key off , then back on to lights on, release then turn to right, and hold intil you see SERVICE in screen ~(approx 5 secs). This resets it.

I would imagine there is a similar type action for the Fiats without the need for a special tool. Are there any techies out there whoknow the sequence???

Is it not the case that the Stilo, no mater its age is still covered under warranty. Unless you've passed your initial 60,000 miles period will it not invalidate your warranty if you service the car yourself? [V]

Why not just pop to your local Fiat garage and ask them if they'll reset the counter. Give them some story about the other nearest Fiat garage being a bunch if ignorant semi-trained chimps, you might even get it done for nowt! :I

2003 3 Door Stilo 1.2 Active, Sassy Grey, 5 disc CD Changer, plastic wheel trims - and 41.7mpg average so far. Love it, Oh yes!

i just got my stilos 2nd 12k miles service done at a non Fiat dealer garage, they were VAT registered so I believe that my warranty is still valid. i then took it to Fiat and asked them to reset the service schedule on the comp. Hey presto! 10 mins later it was done for nowt and they didn't even ask to see the stamp on the logbook to check it'd been done.

the reason that I didn't get Fiat to do it was because they wanted £311 whereas the other garage only charged £129, i can't wait till the warranty has run out and i can service it myself!
