Hi All

I've been suffering some ABS and ASR lights coming on when I start my car. Whilst I think it's the battery, my local dealer (Alan Kerr Paignton) say that they've been issued a Bulletin by Fiat, saying that car's with the ASR light problem can often have a faulty Sterring Wheel Angle Sensor.

If you have a ASR light problem, might be worth getting this checked.

Ha! Mine must be an exception!

My Stilo's got ABS, EBD, ASR, MSR (no ESP) and there is a sensor on it apparantly - one's on order as we speak!

(Esp) Electronic stability programme. As far as i no it shouldn't have one. It only has this if its got vdc/esp(Traction control), As this tells the abs which angle the wheel is turned, and compares it with the YAW Sensor(Side Ways Acceration Sensor), Thus braking on 1 wheel or 2 wheels making the car turn around the car better. I would check because i dont think it has one.

LOL!

I went to pick up my car yesterday, and the dealer said that "after stripping down the unit, your car doesn't in fact have a Steering Angle Sensor".

Fiatexpert, I bow down to your glory!
