Is it possible to disassemble the hood release without breaking it?

Any tips or tricks?

The release arm inside the car seems to be just a press fit on its axle. I managed to knock mine out by accident when I was vaccuming the car, so you should be able to just pull it off.

The axle is fitted transversely.. so you need to pull the lever in the direction of the opposite door's door hinges to remove it. The cable nipple can be removed once the arm is off.

I figured it out .
Used 2 screwdrivers between the arm and the plastic and than use a lot of force...
But I managed get it out without braking anything.

That's good.

My lever must just be a bit loose... it's possible to pull off the lever with one hand and a bit of fiddling.
