Last month my Fiat Stilo broke down the errors were , seat belt error , would not rev, engine management light , oil pressure check and engine would switch off.

After been quoted fortunes to fix I looked into the issue and fixed all these problems for free all with a no 10 spanner and a solder Iron .

My Fiat is running 100% know and made a video to share with you guys encase any one else needs this It might help some , hope it does.

thank you and have a great day .

I just watched that video of yours Dracco and I must say. Well done. I get the ABS warning along with another couple but only when the car is first used for the day so I am putting mine down to moisture with the rubbish weather we are having in the UK but I will be having a look at my computer more closely in future for this.

Thanks GPZ750 .

The black round thing doesn't need to be removed , its like a breather for cpu I think to guard from condensation , when I first opened mine I thought there might be a screw under it and removed it , big no no the case is stuck closed with silicon just use a screw driver and pull it apart .

K hope this helps and thank you for posting the link you correct i am not aloud cause its a new account :)

Have a great day and thank you .

Thanks Dracco, great help. Might also be worth putting something non conductive behind those pins to prevent any more popping through and you may feel the resistance when putting the plugs back on the front. Also nice Stilo. Same colour as mine (y)

Save him the bother. Does he not need X amount of posts first?
Figure it would make sence to have it in first post, if possible of course. I never noticed any restriction using links, either way I just pointed out how to do it hence it isn't obvious.

Cant say I seen any restrictions myself but cant say I was looking to link anything either. I know some forums like you to have made posts first to prevent you joining and linking spam or a for sale advert and never coming back again.

LOL, that the fix i put up a year ago on this board,
it got our old 1.6 back on the road after this fault.
Another thing i done was when putting the ecu back i didnt initally put the back cover on until the plugs were back in place - this allowed me to make sure all the pins had returned home correctly and hadnt pushed back, when i was happy i put the back cover back on.

Lovely bit of bodging. A new ECU would've been many hundreds.

I must thank dracco121, brilliant fix. I've been trying for weeks to fix my sons stilo for stalling. Seen your post and YouTube video.
Stripped mine down and yes 5 pins has sunk and plenty of dry joints. All done and perfect.
Thanks

Just need to sort out clocks !

This ones good to know, it can be done basically by anyone with a simple small head solder iron. :)

Regarding the Airbag Failure, NO, it does not fix that problem sadly. The Airbag Failure is usually caused by the faulty sensor and/or wiring in the seat itself.

Cheers!
