Hi,

I have a RHD 1.9 JTD Stilo MW and am having problems with the climate control. I have searched on the forums but have not found similar issues.

The passenger (left) climate control works fine, but the driver's side (right) doesn't work so well. On starting the car, the passenger's side goes straight to the right temperature, but the drivers side will always go full hot for a few (~15) seconds, before going to the desired temperature. (Not a disaster, but clearly something wrong.)

On setting a temperature (on MONO, i.e. both sides) of say 17C, it will initially blast cold air on both sides to get the temperature down. The after a few minutes when the inside of the car has cooled down sufficiently, the passenger side will increase the air temperature slightly to maintain 17C, whereas the driver's side will continue to blast cold air. The passenger side will respond to small commanded changes in temperature, but the driver's side will not. Often it will take an input change of around 7degC for the temperature to actually change. Therefore, the passenger side could be set to 17C and the driver's side set to 22C, but the drivers side would be outputting air much colder than the passenger side!

I have felt the driver's temperature actuator moving, and it seems to be moving fine and very smoothly. So is the actuator therefore being commanded the wrong temperature?

The climate control also sometimes outputs air to vents other than the ones selected. I don't mind this problem so much, but I don't know if it cold be related to the temperature issue.

I have done the self test (hold down AUTO and MONO together on startup) and that reports as being successful.

Any help or advice on these issues would be gratefully received! Sorry for writing such a lot, I hope more info can be of greater use!
Regards
