Technical Help - New Front Wishbone Too Loose?

Thanks. It looks like I need Ocap's parts then, even shop4parts doesn't say their genuine parts will not fit. Can Ocap be recommended by anyone here at the forum?

Clever design with the new sheet metal part, as the ball joint is replaceable, and that's the one making my wheel wobbly right now.

M.

Also I had some checks which of genuine wishbones are available in my country and the answer was TRW.
(This brand is suggested and recomended. For reference, it's about 100GBP with discounts here. It is available in most of the stores here, so wonder why it isn't in your country.)

Haven't heared about OCAP. Sorry

Digging up an old thread. I need one wishbone as the Stilo failed the MOT, and I wonder if shop4parts' wishbones are ok. I plan getting a pair anyway.

Yes, I used shop4parts to replace the dodgy ones, and they were fine. I've used them many times, always had high-quality parts.

ive had the exact same problem with mine so what ive done is this... (Hope its Legal)

ive got myself another bush & turned it 45 deg then re fitted it like in the pic below.. its now solid & no movement at all.. BUT will it be legal.?

is the TRW parts genuine or near as..? as thats what make the bush was.. 11 quids better than 150 quid for a new arm..

Hi Steve148, I was just wondering where you purchased your first set of wishbones from, ebay? if so do you know who you brought them off. Im in need of a pair as my Stilo has failed its MOT today and the garage told me the greatest joke Ive ever heard

"your looking at about £360 including labour mate and if you need the 14mm bushes instead of the 12mm it could cost you more"

Ive found a shop on ebay, (attached a photo of it) not sure if it would be worth buying these parts or paying roughly £100 for the lower wishbones from the aforementioned shop, Shop for parts. The final option I have is to pay about £56 including delivery for breakers parts. Would appreciate any feedback or opinions.

This opinion is now under review. The shop4parts wishbones failed dangerously after less than 20,000 miles, and the proprietor advises me that this is a reasonable service life to expect from the quality he supplies.
