I have a Fiat 1.4 16v Stilo. I have taken the heater cover off to see if I could locate the problem. The issue I have is that no air blows out on the heater whether hot or cold, but the air conditioning works and does blow out air both hot and cold but at a minimal speed? Has any one any ideas what the problem, is? and how to fix it please?
Thanks

Sorry for delay been away. Its a manual cxlimate control system.

As your cabin fan works when you select A/C then the fan N85 and the speed controlling resistor pack O10 must be ok and you have a problem with the fan speed selector switch H81 which is not connecting the fan motor or any of the fan speed adjusting resistor pack to earth C16, The way the fan works is that 12v is supplied to the motor and then the motor is connected to earth by the switch

If you can get access to the fan switch wiring then check if its connector H81 pin A earth (black wire) has near zero resistance to earth as that's where your problem lies. Could be a duff switch with bad internal contacts or poor contact with its connector or open circuit between the switch and earth C16

Thanks I think it must be the switch. I will let you know how I get on?

Hi

Regarding this same problem, if it is not blowing at any speed so totally dead, what should I check other than fuses. Fuses are fine. It suddenly died whan I started car with fan on speed 3 or 4. (usually I set it at lower speed)
I was trying to look your nice picture to see which are the actual fuse numbers but it seem sit is Punto not Stilo...?
There is 10A F39 in cabin which is also used for radio so easy to now if it is ok.
Then maxi fuse 30a next to the battery. Is there anything else for heater blower/fan ? not according manual.

Stilo 2003 1.2 manual a/c
