Greetings Stilonisti
Just got a 04 Black Stilo 1.9 JTD with sideskirts, 6 months old, 5000miles, alarm to replace my Seicento Sporting. Was 8.5K a good deal??

There is so much information on this forum and i'm impressed as well as overwhelmed.

Already looking at a remap and lowered springs but looking for an outlet/garage in Scotland-West coast preferably you recommend.

30MM lowered Eibach springs would seem to be the consensus. I feel the JTD wallows a bit and feels directionless at speed. Will this cure it? Or are different shocks required as well or as an alternative?

Opinions please

Hi and welcome :D

Nice choice of car - the JTDs are hard to come by second hand - the deal seems OK to me; it does all depend on circumstances, as long as you are happy with the purchase price, who cares, imo.

Remap options are basically 155 or 170 - 170 requires a new exhaust. Angel Tuning were due a visit up your way soon, although I may have got dates wrong, and you missed them, lol.

Eibachs are the way forward - I decided NOT to replace the shocks in the Abarth, decided that they were good enough. Not sure what others have done....The overall effect is immense, and the car takes corners so much better now :)
