Hi Guys,

I've got a problem with the lock on the drivers door (right hand side) - it won't lock!

The rest of the door lock and unlock OK but the drivers door doesn't

I have tried locking all ways - from the remote, from the lock/unlock button on the door, from the key and from the pull/push lock button with no luck.

It feels like the lock mechanism is jammed - when I use the key in the drivers door you can see the button start to move but it looks and feels jammed.

Does anyone have any ideas what maybe causing this?

Note - just bought the car and the dealer says he will fix it, but they are over 100 miles away and if I can be fix it simply then I would rather do that than drive all that way!

Sorry posting in your thread but no point in creating new one.

I have a european stilo JTD sportvan and i have the same problem but in the passenger door.
it won´t lock with the remote or with the cap in the door. i press it but doesn´t stick. it comes up as soon i release it.

As this as no place to insert the key only can be locked with the driver´s side button on the door to lock it, with the remote or with the cap in the passenger´s side. none work.

help!

better then my car sometimes it locks me in and i have to get out the passenger door!

Problem has been diagnosed and fixed.

The problem was the lock actuator - looks like it has been "fixed" before so a new unit has been put in.
