When i went to the exhuast place near me the other day (entec i think its called) He said he could remove the stilos exhuast tip and weld a new one on for £45 which isnt too bad i thought.

But like everyone says get a full back box, the one im having done is £165, full stainless steel one, which i rekon is good price for them to do the lot fitting, etc. Tc's was even cheaper than that though its just a case of hunting around

Ok, let's clear this up.........................

if I see any Stilo with a screw on exhaust tip, I'm gonna pull it off there and then and put it in the nearest bin, puh, disgusting chavish behaviour, buy a proper back box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Ok, let's clear this up.........................

Some people think fitting loud backbox's are chavvy..........!!

A new tip looks loads better than keeping that drain pipe thing that comes standard. Cheaper than buying a back box and some people might not want the noise

Wolfrace............................

my backbox is no louder than the original tailpipe, it just makes a deeper sound.

Now, after that comment, I'm gonna pull your entire exhaust system off when I see your car!

Well i got a full exhaust system..not sure how much it costs. But it def looks chavvy!!! But its grown on me now!

A tip only...............................

looks good if it come out of the silencer box, if you were to cut off the old tip and have one comimg out of the silencer so it looked as if it was done in the factory, then fine, but those screwy, addy on things never look right to me!

Yeah........................

I know what you mean, my mate's got a Saxo and he's got a full straight through stainless system from engine to tail, cat removed too, I can't ride in it for more than five minutes without consuming a packet of Nurofen!

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but did anyone actually find out where to get these? I have been looking for one for a grande punto for ages, which has a similar stupid exhaust to the stilo. If anyone knows where I could get this, I would be so grateful. I have tried all over eBay and the internet...
I know Fiat do a chrome tailpipe trim but it is expensive at £60 and only single exit.
Thanks for your help.:D
