Hi everyone,
I've had a Fiat Stilo 1.6 16v (103cv) 3 door for two years & 6 months with absolutly no problem. This afternoon driving along the car started to jump and shake and sign on the dashboard stating a problem with the motor. So I stoped the car and got it to the mecanic. He's told me that 2 of the 4 ignition coils have falied and will probably have to replace all 4. I thought it rather strange that 2 went at the same time.....Anyway, anyone know if I can take this back to Fiat even though the car only came with a 2 year garanty??? or how much these can cost??? I´ve heard that they can be rather expensive.....

Hi Jimbo!

My car had a similar failure a few weeks back; the AA were called out, and the 4th coil had gone on my engine.

It was replaced under 3rd year dealership warranty [done by the AA next day coz car was undriveable]. I think the part cost about £35 or so, iirc. But possibly net of VAT.

In case any one is interested 4 new ignition coils are going to cost me 220 Euros from Fiat.....

Nope. No 3 year warranty..... And I´m going to have to get them from Fiat...
After a lot of ringing around it´s the only place near to where I live that has them in stock... I need the car for work, so it looks like I´m going to have to get them from their...
Thanks for the help everyone...
