Av Got A 53 Plate Stilo And Am Wanting A Badgeless Grille For It, Anybody Got Any Ideas Where To Get A Good One Or What Price A Should Expect For One??

Mine, though it was a lot cheaper when I got it off eBay last Summer...

It's a really solid, painted metal one and fits rather easily on the bumper using 2 self tappers or some other variation of fixings. I painted the back support behind the grille black so it wouldn't show (y) The only difficult part is removing the old grille without ruining the clips on it, I managed to only damage 2 though :)

i always wanted a honeycombe grill but theres no such thing for a stilo so i gave up i currently dont have one lol looks cool without one i think the badge less one is growing on me tho

Looks crap on eBay listing, but good on your car because the lower parts are black also and not colour coded.

Think mine are colour coded though to will look crap :(

It wouldn't be so bad even if you've got the colour coded grille as the colour of yours is fairly dark. Could always Photoshop it to see ;)

i got the one that looks just like the standard one but without the badge on it. i got mine from the german ebay, cost about £90 in total but thats so high because of the rubish exchange rate lol.

Yeah, had looked at the Mattig grille as well, but was so much more expensive than the one I got, I ended up taking the cheaper option.

There is a way of making your own out of the grille you have, but it's rather involved and includes hacksawing out the badge centre, fibre glass, filler and sanding. The result if done well does save rather a lot of money and looks as good as the Mattig though (y)

What does the little badge on it say? (top right).

Haven't a clue. I think it could be the company name who originally made these grilles or something, the actual grille comes completely blank or at least mine did and it had the same picture on the eBay ad.

is the mesh one from lester the same as the one on ebay, the lester one looks like it has thicker mesh but it could be the angle

This is the only Lester one I could find and it's a bit different in that it has a surround that makes the whole grille appear smaller...

...you would have colour code this surround or spray it black to match in with the grille mesh. The actual mesh looks perhaps a little thinner one Lester one. On my eBay sourced one the mesh is rather strong and the whole item is a pretty substantial piece of kit - would probably take something major to put a dent in it :D

The only downfall of the eBay one is that it doesn't quite fit perfectly. By no means is it glaringly obvious though, you just need to align it when you're fastening it at the top with self tappers or nuts and bolts. Plus considering the cost of it even now with the price increase, I'd say it's a bargain over the Lester one.

It was one of the first mods I did on my car and have to say at the time it transformed the look of the front. I would like to perhaps use a similar black mesh on the lower sections in the bumper but again, it doesn't look wrong to me that the grille is metal mesh and the lower sections are plastic slats :)

Hey.

I'm just about to remove a mesh grill from my Stilo Arbarth.

It is a grey/dark silver mesh, with no logo. £20 + pp if you're interested.
