Hi everyone hope you can help me my stilo abarths external temp gauge is not working! on either the climate control screen or the dashboard layout all its reading is ----.-c
any thoughts please??

Have you hit something with your exterior mirror? The temp sensor is in the 'nipple' on the base of the mirror housing...

but still it still does not work
any other ideas any will do

check door plug (sensor is wired through there.. that’s the big plug you see from door to body when door is opened - just unplug n plug it back in) if that don't help check sensor and/or replace

Was wondering what that was for

Just phoned my local fiat garage and they say you cant get just the sensor you have to get the WHOLE mirror!! 190 quid!!
im just hoping that my 3 month warranty covers me.
does anyone know if this is true?

If that price is true, it must be worth trawling a few scrappers and if it's the wrong colour, swap over your exsiting colour-coded surround.

Is there any way of servicing the sensor? Mine sometimes like to think its -3.5 degrees and you get that thoughtful but annoying "danger of ice" message.

We had a faulty sensor giving incorrect readings - from what I understand calibration is not possible, it's new sensor time. The sensor is available separately for early cars only - they got moulded in on later vehicles.
