Replacing outer CV

Hi all.

I'm replacing the outer CV on my Dad's 1.6 Active Sport in the morning and I was wondering, as I've not worked on Fiats before, if you had any tips?

My main question mark is what suspension parts to undo so I can release either the driveshaft from the CV or the whole thing from the hub.

Judging by ePER it is very similar to my Rover but just wanna be sure

Cheers
Dan

Looks fairly conventional.

I'd expect it to be the usual fun when pushing in the driveshaft through the hub

Re: Replacing outer CV

A word to the wise
Slacken the hub nut AND get the shaft moving in the hub BEFORE you jack it up and disconnect the hub securing bolts

Re: Replacing outer CV

Well it ended up being put into the local garage.

The joint had started to break up and it was nigh on impossible to get hold of one quick enough.

Still at least I know it's gonna be looked after and the job done properly.

Re: Replacing outer CV

Keeping my own thread alive.....

It appears even the garage are having trouble getting hold of the joint.

Don't suppose anyone has any ideas why this might be?

Even my local Fiat dealers (all 3 of them!!) would have to put it in back order!
