hello could any one help me i have a airbag ecu light always on. i took it fiat and they told me the ecu was faulty. new one £300, i have sourced another working ecu same part numbers but i am unable to find where it is fitted although the manual shows it by the heater area still unable to find it any ideas please thank you

I think its behind the upper glovebox. Take out the inner and its there.

Take a look at my guide for a "space thrifty amp install" in the guides section for the Stilo. You will see the airbag module on one of the pictures there. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

I thought it was down by the handbrake under the centre consol..maybe I am wrong..:shrug:

Maybe Im wrong then? Im sure when I was fitting my dension ipod adapter i took the liner out and the little box there said something about airbag on it - it was a few months ago though.

It could ofcourse be the airbag itself. That makes sense. The dash is ripped apart (abarth) when it inflates.

noo, it was a small cast metal box with a multiway connector on one side, definately wasnt the airbag. If this was the airbag the passenger would end up with a cd changer in their face im sure.

ive got some car stuff to do tomorrow, ill take a picture of it and check the centre console while im there.

Thats the one im thinking of too, im sure it says something in the small text on the sticker. I may be wrong though.

From the part number on it (46834593) that's the airbag.

Hehe. there you go then. Ive got some diagrams which show the way various computers around the car are hooked upto the two can buses in the car, and their locations. Im not sure if the airbags are on there as im not sure if they use canbus or not for comms.
