I have a Magneti Marelli ecu, IAW 5NF.T1 (stilo 1.6), and i need to reflash it to the default maps since it's probably corrupted. Has anyone here done that ? What interface did you use ?
Was thinking something like a Galletto obd2 interface would do the trick, has anyone tried it on this ecu ? Thanks.

Did you have to take the chip out to flash it, or just through the obd2 diagnostic port? Which ecu did u flash?
I read somewhere that for the IAW 5NF ecu, flashing only works in "boot mode only" which i gathered means i have to take the chip out, power it with a 12V power supply and connect directly to it. Don't understand why it wouldn't work directly through the obd2 port.

No, I didn't take the chip out. I have been used KWP2000 and read / write the flash thorugh the OBD2 port. It's easy and quick job.

Do you have an original map file for the IAW 5NF.T1 ecu (stilo 1.6) handy ?
If you could post it here that would be really helpful. Thanks

how can we edit a downloaded map file?

rplabs soft is for iaw 4 series only, they seem to be the only ..

any more info on this?

I know this is a rather old post but i also have a question about reading /writing my 5NFT1 ecu in my 1.6 Stilo - i managed to read the file by removing the ecu from my car - reading the contents through the obd port failed because of disturbance on the data network during reading.
When i try to upload it doesn't accept writing a file.
I tried both kwp2000+ and Galletto 1260.
I logged the communication and when the software sends the 10-85-04 message (start diagnostic session / ecu programming mode / 57600 baud) the ecu send a negative response message.
I read a lot about about reading / writing in boot mode but can somebody tell me exactly how this is done on the Marelli 5NFT1 ecu?
thank you for your help!
