Having owned the abarth for almost 4 months, worry free i may add. the heater fan appears to be making a very loud noise (like a buzzing) for a few weeks, so being me i replaced the pollen filter and cleaned where it goes and the noise is the same:mad:, I have tried locating the noise and it appears to be coming from the centre of the dash near the windscreen, so next i removed the scuttle pannel to see if i could get to the motor? dead end :( as you can see it but looks like it has to be removed from the inside of the car as there is a brace preventing it from coming out.
Question is how can I remove this myself, is this a problem others have had. I don't like paying to get things done so any help would be great ;)

Do i need to take the whole dash out?

Yes.

Mine is the same. It ticks and is very annoying. I take it you have confirmed it is the fan by adjusting the fan speed and seeing that the noise varies with the fan speed.
Get a copy of elearn, the fiat workshop CD from ebay. It should have the procedure for removing the heater.

Yes it's defo the fan mines a low grumble that progresses depending how fast the fan is on?

Does anyone have the elearn if so is there a section on this?
