General Hi from a stilo newbie

Thought i'd seen them called that on here but i've only had a brief look through, is it just claws they are known as?

Any idea how much they are worth in reasonable condition with good tyres?

Its dark blue, looks kind of pupley wet at night. No pics as yet, but its going to be my wifes car really. So a set of 15" steels and trims will be sought.

If it was mine it would be getting dropped super low over a set of ronal turbos, and maybe even a two tone paint job split at the swage line through the door handles. But i've got an old merc for scraping speed bumps (and roads with any camber). Like i say the stilo is for wifey and baby duties so even a nice subtle -40mm is out of the question.

Its more a case of i think the alloys on it look shocking, and as its the family wagon it doesn't really need fripperies like alloys, though some factory 15s or 16s would be ok.

Here's a potato chop i did on the dealer pic

The turbos are probably a little out of scale, could do with being a bit smaller.

I've lived with them for a bit now and i really dont like them (the claws that is). So does anybody fancy a swap, 4x Claw 17"s with tyre that can only be a few thousand miles old, for a set of factory 16"s (I quite like the wide 6 spoke design) with tyres in simmilar condition.

The wheels are all round, with a little curbing on each wheel, I can give these a tidy up and minor refurb in silver or black maybe to better match the condition of you wheels.

Photos to come shortly.

Would consider some 15" or 16" steels, but that would need some cash my way.

Hello I would be interested in a swap, got original 16" alloys fitted to mine all with good tyres (approx 4-5k), all depends where abouts you are?

regards
David

I may be interested depending on condition of the wheels and make/tread of tyres.

I have a set of 16" alloys (minor kerbing on 3) all with avon zz3 tyres and good levels of tread (standard OE tyre for bentley, rolls royce, morgan, etc.)

Edit: Obviously dlo would get first refusal :)

Dave

I'm in Chichester, West Sussex, down on the south coast. All the tyres are budget branded 215/45/17, Dura on the back and Enduro on the front. I've tooled about in it a bit for the last couple of days and couldn't fault them.

Here's some pics of all four wheels, any chance of the same for the wheels on offer please.

Hello mate,
I'm Littlehampton so only a few miles from you, I've got a set of 4 16" Fiat alloys that came off my Dynamic sat in my garage as we speak.

Not sure on condition of the tyres as haven't looked at them for a while, i would have thought they'd be at least 50% worn if not more to be honest but i'd be willing to do a swap with cash from me if you like them. A pic is below.

what do you reckon? i'll have a look at the tyres tomorrow as i'm off work.

cheers
Neil

Excellent Neil, they look good, i forgot that style had the cut out in the spokes as well.

You have pm.

I have those alloys also, but am based in the west midlands/north west so not exactly local.

The only advice I can give regarding swopping alloys is that you will also need to swop the bolts too as the 17" alloys use a longer bolt than the 16".

Regards
Dave
