Hope you can help,
I'm certain that the traction control doesn't work what so ever on my 1.6 Dynamic Stilo. I've had the car for around 2 months now and love it, although it would be even better to know that everything is working.
A couple of weeks ago the roads were covered in snow and the car was sliding all over the place and the traction control light on the dashboard wasn't flashing/blinking as i thought it should (along with the ASR which was blinking). Also I've noticed that when i go to turn the car on, the traction control light on the dashboard doesn't even light up when the others do.
Any ideas?

thought ASR and TC were the same thing or am i getting confused?

either way mine spends most of its life turned off :D

Yeah so if ASR light is blinking its working problem solved.

And if that second bit was aimed at me, what i meant was i purposely turn mine off most of the time :D

ABS => ASR => ESP are all linked

so if ASR is down then so is ESP and if ABS is down then everything is down.

You should notice the ASR light (next to CITY button) illuminated once during pre-checks and also once when you start the engine.

It should engage if you try to spin the front wheels.

Thanks for your help, i didn't realise ASR and Traction Control was linked. However i thought traction control was designed to stop the car from sliding when you lose grip, so why wasn't it kicking in when i had no grip at all in the snow?
Does everyone else's traction control light actually light up on the dashboard when they switch the ignition on? (it's the light on the bottom left in the middle of the rev counter)
