Hello,
Looking around my recently acquired MW, I found plastic rod things under the outer rear headrests. These are the width of the headrest and have a piece of cloth that matches the seat material. Can anyone tell me what they are for? They are not attached, just lying loose under the head rest.

Hello again,
Picture of one of these strange devices is below. They are the width of the recess for the headrest and the piece of cloth is free to move sideways and rotate. As I say there is one under each of the outer headrests but not the middle one. They are not visible when the headrest is down.

I'm thinking now that they may have been supporting a cover sheet over the rear seats and when that was removed the person simply cut the straps instead of removing the headrest to extract them/it. They were "above" the headrest rods so the cover sheet could have hung down from them. The interior is immaculate, no sign of dog scratches or anything. Load area looks unused.
