When the car went to FIAT a couple of months ago they told me that there is slight play in one of the droplinks and it needs replacing soon.

But do both droplinks need replacing or can you replace just one? because I'm going to do it myself, only about £10 per droplink.

One of mine went Dan, dealer replaced both for £175.00 and lost the wheel locking nut in the process.

U just need to change the one.

£175! thats why I'm gonna change them myself and I wont lose my locking wheel nut

Actually looking at the report they quoted me £76.43 so that must be for one.

no way! 1 hour maximim & even then I'd expect healthcheck,car wash included in that time!

£16.34 inc VAT and P+P from shop4parts and I'd expect alot of swearing and shouting from me when fitting it is alot better than £76

And now T you must understand why I hate my dealer so much. He's charging me £194 for the intercooler pipe (fitted).

Make sure you save the nyloc nuts cos you dont get new ones with the drop links

My Stilo had its front drop-links replaced in response to the creak/groan I get from the front suspension (I think!) and im sure it was well under £100 for both! Trouble is the sound is still there so im hoping its not the bushes!

I got mine from a local motorfactor for £11 each and fitted them, took about an hour, passenger side was easy, drivers side need a second jack to push up the roll bar

I was gonna ask you BBS how you got on, you finally done it then?

Got the part today for about £12 from FIAT. will attempt to fit in in the next couple of days.

it took about 2 1/2 hours in total, but I was also changing the front pads as well and repairing the undertray again.... which has come off again this week

Is your undertray fitted on with 2 bolts at the front, as well as the 4 screws and 2 clips?

My JTD undertray fell off and I fitted 2 bolts to the front and there's no way it's coming off after that.

I think you'll find the two bolts at the front are standard fittings.

As you say, there's no way it could fall off but you could do a hell of a lot of damage if you say reversed whilst it was hanging down at the rear (especially if on lowered springs)
