abbreviations.....

do you think it would be a good idea to have a sticky in the leisure lounge (LL) for them so us newbies know what they all mean? or is it just me that doesnt know lol (laugh out loud)?? what you think??

I've been here 2 years and still haven't a clue about most of them - don't know don't want to know in most cases for me though. I think I'm right in saying that "text speak" is supposedly frowned upon, but the boundaries are a bit blurry I don't think 'lol' counts

If you want to know though, there's a website in my favorites which is a brilliant translator for all internet/text slang, I use it a lot. Can't give you the address right now as I'm not on my PC but I'm sure someone will kindly drag it up for you if you're interested.

your right txt spk annoys the hell out of me. but iirc, imao etc. cant take a guess at some of them. slowly getting there but thaught it would be a good idea for newbies.

the website you mention sounds interesting if someone knows it?

I've got some of them sussed but it's hard for those of us who don't have quite so much time on their hands IMO is "in my experience" or something and IRRC I learnt once but I've forgotten!

Took me a while to suss out the faces too they all look the bloody same. I'm OK on them now though :P
