Ahh now that makes sense then. I think this should work well, just hope the members read this so they know what is going on when they see more options in the quick links

lol there should be a tag all option so everyone knows before they realise how to turn off the tagging

I don't understand the hash tag thing can someone explain what the point is bearing in mind i have never used twitter

on twitter if you use a hashtag then that tweet can be read by anyone in the world, you get trending hashtags usually tv shows and things where everyone can talk about it.

on the forum when you click on the hashtag it will show you all the posts that people have used that hashtag.

so if i put #geek

then there should now be two posts shown when you click that link

So it could help with things like events if someone is talking about say Stanford in the punto section but hash tags it then everyone can quickly view whats being said about an event without trailing through the forum i like

It's an issue where a user has a space in their username, not much that can be done about it unless we turn on the delimiter (need to put ; after the name)

If you need to mention a user with a split name, use mention tags (mention)username(/mention) - but replace the ( ) with [ ].

Ah, that Ben B tagging is interesting.

When tagging using the mention tag it comes out like this:

Noticed this a few times, instead of having to use the mention bits can we not use the "delimiter" because what if we dont realise that the user name has a space and tag someone completely different so when we tag if we use the ; after then it knows that is the end of the tag instead of trying to guess if someone has a space.
