I am kind of lost on where to post this thread as its not a bug as such. Its just very hard to navigate round to find my own pictures. When i have found my pictures its even more annoying trying manage them all.

eg. I have agaim finally found the 'My Pictures' section in the gallaries and uploaded some images. Then i decided i wanted to create a wonderful new ablum to store them in. But i am unable to find a way to put my new original pictures into the new album. I have been in and out of files/links/CP trying to find some form of management to start populating the new album. no joy! It seems the only way is to delete and re upload to the new album?

Now is this just me or am i on the right line here?

I have also looked on the FAQ section for more information on my new found numbness. But the instructions i found on FF start with wrong information saying that in the Control Panel i need to go to Pictures and album link which i cant seem to find??? :mad:

Is this something thats been noticed?

Once you've added pictures they are stuck where they are, unless you ask a mod to move them. This is so that - if you've linked that picture in a thread - the link doesn't break. If you want to add photos to an album, make the album first and then choose that as the upload location.
As far as locating your pictures, when you click the "Gallery" link at the top of the site, there are links just above "Recent Pictures" which will take you to "My Photos" or "My albums", the photos link will also show albums as well as any pics which haven't been put into an album.

yeah it helps but very frustrating

I'm just Gutted that all my pics arent stored centrally and then linked to users gallaries. a little like itunes so i can store in other folders without losing the links.
I dont use the gallary that much as i have never really been interested in it but want to use it more. Its just a shame that there isnt much functionailty in there for moving.

I was just knackered yesterday and wanted a moan because i couldnt do what i wanted :p haha

I am much better now though (y)

i do think the FAQ but needs updating or getting a link in there to my gallaries. I did find what you said when i was messing yesterday but before i knew that i had to go to a past post and view images... that was just me being numb though haha :D

Ged, probably a silly question but here goes anyway. Did you know that if you click on your title (above your Avatar) the second drop down tag is an option to view your pics, quite a handy shortcut to your albums?

Also, whilst you are replying to a post or thread you can click on the camera icon at the top and that gives you access to you pics as well.

To mass move, click on the Profile option in the gallery, then in the left hand side Statistics. On the next screen Manage Photos and then there you are ;)

TBH it's the most bizarre place to put a mass manage link - I doubt many people have found it. I only know it's there as I had to do some bug finding recently which meant going through everything!

You'll know if an image has been linked as when you view it in the gallery, it will have a little padlock icon on the page next to the title.
