I was looking to see if its worth a seperate Punto Evo Folder from the Grande Punto as the dealer seems to be treating these as new beasts,,
Or do we just see this as a face lift?

I bought one today :)

I wouldn't say the EVO has a high price tag, in comparison to other supermini's.

You could go and get a Polo which will be close to the 20k mark ... FOR A POLO!!!! NO WAY

Or a Fiesta for that matter.

We bought our Fiats because they are very stylish, you get more exclusivity than any other supermini aswell.

If you want an EVO on the cheap, just use Fiat Super Saver.

You can have an Eleganza for £500 more than an Active, you get LOADS of kit, the new multiair engine (y) nicer interior.

Maybe the EVO for some will be a grower like Lady Gaga's songs.

Depending on which model and colour you buy you get different bumper inserts, on a black Eleganza EVO you get black inserts (which suite it alot!) but on a white one you get silver like in the picture below, and I think it looks better in silver on some colours than black ones.

For 20k you could get a new Polo GTI with the 7 speed DSG Box in and a few other extras. That is a sub 7 second car to 60, will drive a lot better and be built to a much higher standard.

For less than 10k you could have a sub 5 second car to 60 car.

The point is any supermini is not gonna be an amazing car, and it's certainly not worth 20k for one put simply.

Polo GTI can go to 60 in sub 7 but it'll be crap in the corners so whats the point?

I got a top spec EVO Eleganza with EVERY optional extra for £13500, some 6k less than a Polo GTI, I could use the 6k to buy an RX-7 and tune it to hell, and it'll rinse that Polo (y)

EDIT: Plus the Polo is FUGLY

Back to my spare wheel,,

How useless is the foam inflator?

I would imagine you would need to find the nail & remove before inflation or?

Also i guess the tyres gashed & needs replaced asap also the refill foam pack would need replaced at cost too i guess,,

Whats the thoughts?

If my GP Spare is a diff size then obviously i will just buy one at £35,, just trying to save were ever,,

I filled my tank stupidly on Sunday before going to the garage to have another look,, a tank lasts me 4 full weeks & the dealer wants the keys handed over before end month.,,i would rather wait till sunday 4th as i have a 350+ mile drive on the 3rd April,,

Dont fancy putting these miles on the Evo,

I noticed in the EVO's brochure it had a different spare wheel for different models depending on the Alloys size

My Punto Evo Eleganza, with all extras including satnav (but not leather interior) came to ....

£15,280 -scrappage, total paid: £13,280.
earlier delivery than every other dealership, set of mats, tank of petrol included.

So im happy with the deal.

And regarding price / what you "can" get for the money, I could of got a 1-2(cant remember) year old low mileage BMW 5 series M-Sport for £10,000. But reality has to come into the equation aswell....

3 years free servicing included with my Evo.
my tax £120.
my insurance about £500 give or take £30 (dont know, ive not sorted insurance yet)
36mpg (been doing city driving)

Tax for a BMW 5 Series M-Sport or the VW Polo GTI, about £220?
Insurance, atleast £1000-2000 id guess.
Fuel costs, servicing, maintenance.

Its never as simple as just buying a car. (for the average person.)

Did they give you one of those 7 day things? or.....are you uninsured

i had 7 days, but ive also got 1month left on my directline insurance from the old car so they charged me £12 extra for the new one.

So im insured for another 3-4 weeks, then ill get some real quotes.

Edit..
confused.com etc quoted £430(LV)-500, Directline quoted £530...

Just like an evo isnt worth 15k :)

You could get a sub 5 second car for 10k but you said nothing about that originally.

Why will the polo be crap in corners?

And an Evo isnt a looker either is it lol

Polo, i had a 59 plate one for a courtesy car last week, what a heap of ****! if the higher up versions have the same cheap plastics & rattley feel, no way in hell would i spend anymore than 10k for a new fully equipped one. (with the exception of GTI)...... on the plus side, even though the engine was loud and strangled it seemed to go pretty well, and the cup holder is genius.

As for the Evo looks, that maybe your opinion... in my opinion it nails the grande ;)

Great i dont give a sh*t, i wasnt bringing a GP into it so i dont see why you have bothered to. He said Polo is ugly i pointed out that Evo isnt a looker either that was all. I was not asking for opinions nor giving mine.

"And an Evo isnt a looker either"

Is an opinion.

"Its nails the GP for Looks"

is my opinion.

Take a chill pill.

In your opinion the EVO isn't worth 15k, but you said you weren't giving your opinion.

Were were happily talking about the EVO being a well equipped nice looking (in our opinion), we weren't even interested in the sub 5 seconds a car could do. You bought that up, I was simply saying if I wanted a sub 5 car I wouldn't be looking at a supermini.

The Polo isn't going to corner like an RX-7 is it or even an original MR-2 worth £500.

If you dont like the EVO or what were discussing then why get involved.

Your very odd
