I am wondering if there is a way that the site can have an user filter installed. As when I joined the forum, after reading the threads for a while, it appeared to be one of the friendliest and easy going forums I had come across. But I must be honest and say there is a certain user, sorry to be so specific to say just one but that is the way it appears to me, that if the user response to a thread it is to put down someone, preach to or generally be looking to cause an arguement.
I enjoy the site to much to stop coming on here but I am finding it increasingly difficult not to get involved and lowering my self to respond.
Hope this enquiry has not offended anyone but if this facility existed deleting threads and locking threads could be avoided by people ignoring those looking for arguements.

I am not sure if I have received payments, will have to wait until i get that until you get your Golden Halo badge.

Gosh this is so OT it's unbelivable, sorry Steve, it's not my fault.

I however believe conflict can be constructive, I don't mean muck slinging, I mean a debate of differing opinions, which I feel helps us to develop.
As for Paul, he has an opinion and stands by it.
In my opinion, Pauls arguements are usually reasoned and based on his views of the law, morality and common sense.
By placing his views on an open forum, they are open to criticsm from any corner. This is fine, and I believe keeps the forum interesting.
I believe there is only truely a problem when it decends to personal name calling, personally, I don't care what anyone calls me but I can undertand how this would upset people.
Just my opinion though ;)

I agree with you James. I like the arguments because that is part of what a forum is for and you can read what everyone really thinks and make up your own mind.

I would prefer it if people's views started with "in my opinion that is crap" or "I think that is crap" rather than "that is crap" though. (Not just a dig at Paul but something that would be good to see everywhere)

Personally I agree with the majority of what Paul says, and I think that everyone should post what they want, and accept that other people can also post below saying "I think you should shut up"!!

Nothing wrong with a good argument though it makes it all more entertaining, as long as the original question still gets answered.

Personally...

What I love is when the person I'm argueing with decends into unreasoned name calling...

Then I know I've won ;)

James............................

I agree with you, the way Paul posts is in a way honourable, however, I also believe that as he gets older and has more life experience he will find that law, morality and common sense have no place in the modern world, well at least not to the extent he believes. The reality is if you tried to live like his beliefs dictate then you'd go through life being a victim, he will learn this as he gets older, wiser and moye cynical. I wish our society was the place that Paul believes it is and people shared the same morals too, then we'd all be a lot happier but the truth is it's dog eat dog and everyone for themselves, again this is only my opinion, no offense intended!

Perhaps Paul, you should have considered a Priesthood ???
