Help

I have a 18month old Sedici which now has an inactive rear screen wiper, accesory power outlet (cigar lighter) and electric door mirrors.

I guess it is the fuse, but where is the interior fuse box - I can't find it anywhere, it doesn't seem to be where the manual says it should be and I'm determined not to take to the dealer just to replace a fuse - that would be ridiculous!!

Obviously, I found the one under the bonnet next to the battery and everything in there looks fine.

Has anyone else had this problem??

PS. We bought the car a couple of months ago and love - kids think it is the best thing on the road. Took on holiday to Cornwall this summer, two kids, roof box, bikes et al - it was great.

Will add a photo after its had a wash!

There are a couple tucked away at various points in the cabin. I've completely forgotten, and may be getting mixed up with our Alfa here, but I'm sure there's one under the steering column area behind a pull off panel.
I'll check and let you know.... In fact I've got a wiring diagram somewhere... I'll see if I can find it.

Update - Robotdancer was right, the fuse box is behind the pull off panel under the steering column, (attached by two screws by the way).

Not entirely easy to get to, or remove. They're mounted on to the right hand side wall meaning I had my head and shoulders by the foot pedals so I could see, with my legs out of the car door. Couldn't do that by the road side with passing traffic.

Needed tweezers to remove fuse as I couldn't find the removal tool.

Anyway all done, and would you believe it wasn't the fuse!!! Ah well..... :bang: :)

I'm not going bonkers then!

But I am really annoyed though!!! I found a brilliant full colour wiring diagram for the car (I think I got it through a Suzuki SX4 website badged under the SX4 model) when I was wiring in the Tow Bar I fitted and like a true muppet never saved it.

If anyone comes accross it again could you save it or post a link on here cheers.

Hope you get your electrics sorted.

Cheers :)

I see this is an old post, but maybe a solution was found to the problem and someone would like to share it.

I have exactly the same issue right now, inactive rear screen wiper, accesory power outlet and electric door mirrors.

I know the OP said that it wasn't the fuse but according to my SX4 manual, fuse 23 controls BCM, power mirror switch and ACC socket.

I therefore think that it is worth a check of this fuse. Google for "RW420.pdf" and you should be able to find a copy of the same manual (55Mb).

Best of luck and let us know how you get on.

So I fixed the problem by changing the fuse number 5(for ACC) from under the dashboard fusebox.

Thanks.

Does anyone know if the optional wing mirror defrosters have their own Fuse?

( The manual lists an Accessory and Accessory 2 as fuse 5 and 6 )

Old thread I know but the fuse box on my Sedici (Technically a '2008 Dynamique Petrol Irish Spec') really isn't where the manual or all the YouTube videos say it is. It is actually attached to the outer side of the car on the driver's side. If you go inverted with your head in the footwell (and wearing a head torch) and look up behind the trim you will see it. A job for the flexible... :D. No panels need to be removed but it's not the most accessible!
