Does anyone take cars apart on this forum? I’ve searched high & low for the torque setting for the crank pulley bolt for Fiat SCUDO 1.9D van, (06) cmon guys..someone must know?

A ballpark figure will do, or...shall I just hit it with the electric impact gun that I used to take it off?

Crankshaft pulley bolt put Loctite on and tighten to 4.0kgm 30 ft. Lb.

Fit crankshaft pulley coat the bolt thread with Loctite tighten to 4.0 Kgm 30 ft. Lb. From this position tighten the bolt a further 60 degrees this is from Peter Russel manual

Newbie Scudo owner here, can't help positively at present, but the Russek manual does state " tighten to 30 ftlbs then turn a further 55 degrees ", as someone else has reported. Personally, I have little faith in these books but suggest the Peugeot Expert may hold an easier path to getting the correct figure ! No offence to Peter Russek. I tend to use the rattle gun most of the time ! Gooner2

XUD9, 40Nm, then 60 degrees.

DW10 48Nm

Those are from the French Revue Technique, which unfortunately doesn't cover the non turbo DW10 motors.

You should not use an impact wrench to do up any critical fastener such as those which require a torque setting (arguably any fastener at all). Torquing fastners is not about stopping them coming loose, it's about stopping the fastener failing through fatigue. The torque and angle setting puts a preaload (streach) on the bolt that is higher than the working load and stops elastic cycling that causes fatigue. An impact wrench can over stress the fastener and joint.
