Hi there all.
I'd like to replace the front bench seat in my 2010 Scudo with a single allowing some room to move between the cab and the rear. I've had a quick measure of the bolt pattern and it seems to be identical between the driver's and passenger's seats.
Is there any reason why I can't buy another driver's seat and plonk this instead of the bench?
Looking to the build a box between the two seats for a leisure battery.......

Cheers =]

Hi,

I have just done the opposite. I had a leisure battery and cool-box between the seats. Having just had a child we decided to swap for a bench seat.

Bolted in just fine.

I don't know about using a driver seat. The seat belt or seat belt stalk may be an issue - but I do now have a spare single passenger seat I intend to list on ebay...

Hi I have converted my scudo to a single seat from a bench seat
You will need a resistor to plug into the seat belt/airbag wire, from the middle seat belt. If not your air bag light will be on all the time and I believe it will fail the mot if on.
A drivers single or passenger single will fit the stud pattern on the floor, try to get a passenger side though as all adjusters are on the wrong side of the drivers seat . ( as I found out )
Get will impede on the seat belt connection.
Hope this helps

Hello bud
I'm after doing the opposite to you and was wondering what interior you have and where you are located?
I'm in Basildon Essex.

Hi dude, thanks for the tips.
I managed to grab hold of a decent single on ebay cheaply and have installed it. Question with regards the resistor in the seatbelt/airbag wire - Do I need to disconnect the battery, plug in my resistor and the reconnect the battery as I'm not having much joy at the moment. Also did you use a specific value of resistor?

Cheers for the help.

Luke

Hey bud
Yes disconnect battery install resistor then connect back up.
A mate of mine done the resistor for me so I've no idea what it is or what size I'll try and find out for you.
After install tho everything should be fine with the air bag light off.
Cheers for now bud

make sure u have code for radio or hook it up to another power soure

Hi mate, did you have any luck with resistor value from your mate? Is it just a simple single resistor?

Cheers.

Hi. Quick question in relation to bench seats. I'm looking to take a rear one out and it looks like its just 4 bolts. But the just seem to turn without coming up. Any ideas.
