Hallo, ich suche die Setup CD für das Connect Nav+ um bei mir die Sprache von Italienisch auf Deutsch um zu stellen. Kann mir die jemand leihen oder kann man sich die selbst brennen?

Hello, I seek the Setup CD for the Connect Nav+ to switch the language from Italian to German. To me can the someone borrow or can one the self burn itself?

Hi. Welcome to the FF.

Here's a link to the CN Setup.zip file.

http://rapidshare.com/files/276567596/CN_Setup.zip

Please be aware that you use this software entirely at your own risk.

If you don't have an account with RapidShare, click "Free User" then you need to wait for about 30 to 90 seconds then click the download button.

Hi, I am new here.

I just bought a user Stilo 2002. But I have not got a NAVI CD. The seller told me that it got erased when he disconnected the battery.

Is "CNSetup.zip" all I need?

It is only 8MByte big.

I have downloaded a "majCN98" file too, I think this is an upgrade.

Hi, bin neu hier.

Ich habe mir gerade einen gebrauchten Stilo 2002 gekauft aber keine NAVI CD bekommen. Der besitzer hat mir gesagt das alles geloscht wurde als er die Batterie abgeklemmt hat!

Ist alles was i brauche?

Es is ja gerade mal 8MByte gross.

Ich habe auch eine "majCN98" datei heruntergeladen, i glaube es ist nur ein upgrade.

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

A CD doesn't get erased by disconnecting the battery.

The setup CD is only to set the language after the upgrade has been done. Without it, the language will be Italian. You will also need a map CD.

Thx for your reply.

MAP CD? Where can I find it? What is the name of the vendor?

I' am a newbie in this :)

With "Upgrade" you mean what? Upgrade of the MAPS or the NAV main software?

I don't have any CD's, that is the problem.

The map CD is sold by Fiat or Navteq.

The "majCN98" (that you said you have) is a firmware update for the Connect Nav+

What version firmware does your CN+ have now? If you don't know, look at the bottom right corner of the blue screen when you first switch the CN+ on.

Dave.

OK I just took a look.

It is v8.3

I tried to change the Voice language (it's Italian right now) to English but it is asking for the Setup CD that I don't have.

I was on the Navteq website and could not find any maps
for the Balkan countries, like Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia etc.

And why is the CD player playing always the first song? Can it remember the last played song?

The "majcn98" that you have is version 9.8. There's not much difference between 8.3 and 9.8. If you do decide to update, several people have tried to update and it has permanently destroyed the CN+ unit.

If you want to change the language, I have already posted a link to "CN setup.zip" in post #2 above.

There are no map discs available for the Balkan countries. The Eastern Europe map CD only covers The Czech Republic and the capitals of Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia. The only map CD for a Balkan country is Greece, but that only covers Athens.

The CN+ CD player does not remember the last track played.

Hi,

is there a way to replace the buttons on the NAV+ unit. The previous user
used a spray and now the buttons look and feel weird. I can not clean it off.

The buttons are covered with a rubberised coating that gets scratched off by fingernails. I don't know anywhere you can get any cosmetic parts for a CN+. I did manage to get some original internal switches for one of mine from a company called Digi-Key in the USA.

Hallo,

ich möchte gerne rausfinden welche Softwareversion ist auf meinem CN+ drauf ist und eventuell dann ein Update machen. Auf dem blauen FIAT Logo unten rechts steht bei mir nichts.
Weiß jemand wie man die rausfindet?

Hi yamaheinz. Welcome to the FF.

Your current software version should be at the bottom right corner of the blue Fiat screen. I've never seen one without it.

There is another way to find out which software your CN+ is has with the self diagnostics menu.

Switch the CN+ on and wait a few minutes until it has fully started.
Press "Setup" then-
Press "CONNECT" (button 10,11 or 12) 4 times quickly then press "ENTER".
A new button labeled "SERVICE" or "AID" will apear on the screen.
Scroll down to the new button and press "ENTER"

There are 4 pages of diagnostic information you can step through. The second page should look something like this:

CD Changer........ Present
Amplifier............ Absent
SIM Card............Present
Key Signal......... ON
CAN Network......ON
SW Version........01N192L4009.8
HW Version........05035500242.0
FIAT Drawing.....735317569

The 6th line down on this CN+ shows 01N192L4009.8

9.8 at the end means this CN+ has software version 9.8

Hi,
thanks for the quick response!

Here are 2 photos of my CN +

You see, the version number is not there.

If I at "Connect" 4 times quickly press the "Enter", nothing happens.

Ahhh.... sorry, just read your original post again and seen that it's for a Croma. I assumed it was for a Stilo.

I've never tried the self diagnostic proceedure on the Croma version but it may be the same as for the Stilo.

You may have misunderstood my explaination of the Stilo process, it should be:

1.. Switch the CN+ on and wait a few minutes until it has fully started.
2.. Press "Setup".
3.. Press "CONNECT" (button 10,11 or 12) quickly, 4 times.
4.. Press "ENTER".
5.. A new button labeled "SERVICE" or "AID" should apear on the screen.
6.. Scroll down to the new button and press "ENTER"

Sometimes you need to go through the process a few times before the "SERVICE" or "AID" button appears.

On some Stilo CN+s I've found it works better if at 3..Press "CONNECT" you press "CONNECT" once then wait 1 second then press it quickly, 3 more times.

If none of this works for you, then perhaps the Croma version doesn't have the self diagnostic proceedure. Even if you do find the software version your CN+ has, I have never seen any updates for the Croma version.

Hello

have found the number.

SW 01N194L4011.0

Is this the latest version?

Ahhh.. good, did the self diagnostic procedure work for you this time?

Version 11 is the latest version available for the Stilo. As I said above, I've never seen any updates for the Croma so I don't know if 11 is the latest for the Croma.

The software update discs are not available for sale from Fiat because the updates are supposed to be done only by a Fiat dealer.

There is, however, a setup disc that is needed to change the language from Italian after the software has been updated.

I have just checked on ePER, the Fiat parts catalogue, and the part number for the Stilo and Croma setup disc is the same. This may mean that the software is also the same.

There is a company in Germany that repair Magneti Marelli Connect Nav+s. They may be able to give you more information.

http://www.pavlek.de/fiat/index.htm

Please tell us if you find any more information.
