Hi, just bought a mk1 cabrio with dodgy front seats. Can I replace them with mk2 front seats? Any ideas or advice appreciated, thanks.

I'm not sure. Is it an early 1.6 or later 1.2 (they have different interiors). The 1.6 has seatbelt pre-tensioners which incorporates an explosive charge in the seatbelt mounting, so great care is needed when handling them. There is a special tool which is mounted at the back of the pre-tensioner which you use to disable it before you remove it. I recommend you disable it before disconnecting or connecting the electrics.
