Hey peeps, just wondering, is it possible to get an alarm fitted to your mk1 punto 60 sx 1999 model. and along with this, have a remote central locking system applied also? im getting tired of using the key to open the door all the time and wondered if i could use a clicker to open the locks! this would be too cool if possible. thanks

Look in the Maplins catalogue. They have kits that couple straight into the internal locking mechanisms, and they can be bought in either central locking form or remote central locking.

There is a guide in punto section to wire in remote locking. You need central locking already though for this to work or you'll be spending loads! As for alarm you'd have to get a universal one and wire that in in the same way as the remote locking.

Or look for a kit that has both in one?

Hey mate i'd say it'd work yeah. I've got a 95 Punto n I wanna put central locking on it 2. It sounds so lazy because all you have 2 do is put the key in and turn it but its handy to have. I looked at a few kits on ebay n once it has the punto on it I'd say it'd defo work. I've watched a few vids n it looks like a lot of work but I'd say its worth it. Hope I helped!

I have fitted universal central locking kits on 3 puntos, 2 of which had no central locking system at all, quite a bit of work involved especially on the 4 door but worth it in the end. kits available on ebay search for "universal central locking"
