How do you go about changing the ignition switch on a MK1 Punto?

My boys 1.7TD decided to catch fire after melting all the cables from the swich right through the engine bay!!!

Managed to get new loom but was unsure how to remove the switch. Is it possible to just change the electrical switch part without having to remove key tumbler etc?

Had a look at the one I got the loom from and there were 2 small headed fixings that would come out as I couldnt get anything to grip them. Looks like the electrical switch may come out but am unsure.

Any tips?
