My car is making a rattling noise from the back been like this for a few months now. Hasn't been really bad only when I go over bumps or uneven roads. Today I went out and on my way home it went worse. It sounded like something had fell off and was dragging under the car. When I parked up I had a look underneath, nothin there. Shook the car with my uncle and the suspensions were squeeking. Drove around showed my uncle and stopped again. My shocks are leaking and I sprayed them with WD40. The dragging noise has stopped now, don't know if the shacking or the wd40 sorted it, but still rattles on bumps or uneven roads. Anyone know what this could be and how much it'd cost to fix? I always thought it was the exhaust, but now am thinking suspension but it could be anything. Thanks.

Could that rattle be more of a 'knocking' if so sounds like the bushes on the shocks. If shocks are leaking they need replacing ASAP, no exceptions. They'll be affecting the handleing of your car without you know, can cause an accident and makes stopping distances longer!

You'll normally get replacement rubber bushes with replacement shocks (y)

Jon.
