MAF sensor to turbo hose diameter 1.3m-jet

Hello all,

I hope you can help me. I have a Punto +12 1.3 m-jet. Between the MAF and the turbo, the pipe becomes smaller and is connected on the turbo by a small hose (max 5cm in lenght). Does anyone know the diameter of that little hose? I is starting to wear and I can not find that hose as separate part, but it is disconnectable on both sides, so I thought of making my own of a silicon hose, that will almost last forever.

I hope you can help me.

It is the little hose on the bottom right.

Re: MAF sensor to turbo hose diameter 1.3m-jet

Well, I found out it is 35mm (the air inlet diameter of the turbo). Now, someone told me, that peace needs to be oil resistent. Why is that? And what if I just use a normal silicon hose?

Another Q: from the reducer pipe (pipe between the MAF sensor and Turbo), there is another hose/tube that seems to disapear into the filter housing, but I think it is connected to a hose on the backside of the filter box. What is the purpose of that pipe and if I choose to change the filterbox for a RAM or different air intake system, how do I connect it back to the intake system (filter box will be removed when changing the air intake system)?

Do you mean there's a smaller pipe connected to the hose from the mad to the turbo?
That will likely be the crankcase breather hose that vents vapor from the crankcase back into the engine

Yes, that is what I meant. But would the intake air be cleaner without the crankcase vapor? I think I have seen pictures of induction kit build, where the crankcase vent hose is disconnected from the air intake system and just vent it with a separate, small filter.

@Topic, I am strating to doubt the turbo intake diameter. Can it be 35mm? Can a turbo have an intake port that small? Is there a tech sheet somewhere that states the diameter of that part?
