I have purchased a set of spark plugs from Amazon uk that state are for my make and model. Came to fit new plus today and on removing one and comparing it to a new one, I noticed that the electrodes the new one is about 1/8" shorter than the old one. See attached image.
Can I safely use the new ones or will it sit to high in the chamber and not ignite the gas properly.
Im old school and in my day a spark plug of any sort would do. But with modern cars made to such fine limits not sure if it would work.
And to clarify my situation as Im an OAP, we have had disabled cars for years but are appealing the decision as we have been denied it under the new PIP system. I bought the car as an interim to the appeal but so far we have been waiting over 9 months and still not got an appeal date. This is just so you know why Im asking this question. Thanks.
