I have read all the previous items on hesitation, bu thought I would add my comments. I have a 99 Mk2 Punto Sporting (1.2 16v). I had a 48k service done at Thames Croydon in December, where they supposedly changed the spark plugs. For the last two months or so, my car has been hesitating, and getting worse by the day. Just has an Auto-Tune diagnostic guy come around who took out the plugs and commented that they did not look four months old. He replaced them and the HT leads, as these were now damaged as the spark had been shorting down the ceramic part of the plug on #2 and #3, and causing the bottom of the leads to burn. Problem now fixed, but I have just heard from the FIAT dealer in Crawley that he would never dream of putting Chamipon plugs in, even though they are FIAT recommended. He swears by NGK.....anyone else heard anything similar about Champion plugs??
