I am a fool!!!


During fitting of a new fuel pump i put too much pressure on the hose to the fuel pump... "crack... hisss" i snapped the plastic hose connection on the top of the fuel pump... am i doomed to getting a new fuel pump? also in my desperation to get the fuel filter off i wrecked the dodgy hose connector to the engine side of the fuel pump!!! am i doomed? im desperately hunting for a scrappy now.... argh!!!

i can get a fuel pump locally, they say its for a 16 valve job...


mines the 8 valve 1.2 75sx... will this work!?! Looking at the parts descriptions on shop4parts i might be in luck.... any one?!!!? please its well urgent!!!

heh! i am such a naughty bodger!

i took the top off the one i got locally (for a quid cos it was knackered anyway!) and creatively bodged it onto the top of my fuel pump... it all looks as it was and the car seems to be uncomplaining... thank the heavens - disaster narrowly averted with a 2hr turnaround time, which makes me better than the dealership!
