Hi, Ive got a punto sx, 1998. About a year ago I got a clicking nouse on the front of the car, and when I did a hard lock, would get worse. Turned out to be the dif, drivers side, so put a new one in.Anyway the noise is back, but this time not when I do a hard lock. Checked the dif, seems ok, no leaks, plenty of grease etc. I can hear/feal it when I woble the stearing slightly back and forwards, standing still or moving. Although its worse when moving. Yet if I jack it up and try to trace it I cant hear it. This may be a coincidence, but last couple of days, I lost the pressure in the clutch peddle, couple of pumps and it came back. Also the clicking dissapears when weathers cold. Any ideas appreciated.

Could be the steering rack has worn teeth or the ball joints on the wish bones.

my uncle's car clicks on all the time, nothing to do with steering but hes done 40k with it like that lol
