Hi,

Yesterday the steering wheel started to make strange noise, like "grrrrrr".
I made a video:
[ame]https://youtu.be/033J1FSRZfQ[/ame]

Mostly can hear it when the car is not moving and i lightly rotate the
steering wheel left and right.
The steering wheel lamp is OFF, and also the steering is working
ok, it's not hard to move the steering wheel.

Is it a problem with the electric motor?
Maybe the known problem with the motor relays? although the steering wheel lamp is Off, and steering is working ok.

Mk2B has no relays on the motor.....

Mk2B has no relays on the motor.....

Thank you for the info.

I found another video of someone else with the same problem.
He says that the "torque sensor" is the problem.

Is it part of the steering column?

What kind of cable or bluetooth OBD reader do i need
to be able to read the steering ECU?

I have the cheap bluetooth OBD (i think ELM 327), but it
can only read the Engine ECU.
