Hey, I have a Fiat Punto mk2 188 1.2 16V. I want to change my dashboar because the speedometer is broken.
The one that I use now is like this


Do I have to use one like this or can I use this one in order to upgrade it? Will it work?


Also, in order to install the new one , do I need only to unplug the old one and plug the new one or do I have to do something else?

Whats the dash clock set doing?
As dashs dont usually fail that much... is it just the speedo?
Do you have abs?

Any other weird faults?

As for dash clock swappin is easy ish
The easy part is just a few screws a connector and wigglin old unit out
Refit is reverse
The only downside is the dash clocks are programmed to the cars body computers
When you put a different dash in itll work to a degree
But certain features wont work / clock+mileage will flash

You need a process doing called proxy alignment
It basically get the cars computers/ dash all talking correctly

Also the new dash needs to have lowermileage than yours
As mileage cant go backwards only forwards

So say you have a 55k punto and fit a 70k dash
Youll have suddenly gain 15k mikes
Droppin cars value, which cant be undone
